Before we begin, let us establish that this post will only cover the four most common web browsers. Let's start with defining each one of them. First, Google Chrome. Chrome is a freeware web browser developed by Google. It was released in 2008 for Microsoft Windows, and was later ported to Linux, macOS, iOS, and Andriod. source.
Second, Mozilla Firefox. Firefox is free and open-source web browser developed by the Mozilla Foundation and its subsidiary, the Mozilla Corporation. It is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems while it has Firefox for Android for Android and Firefox for iOS for iOS. source
Third, Internet Explorer. Formerly Windows Internet Explorer, it is a discontinued series of graphical web browsers developed by Microsoft and included as part of the Microsoft Windows line of operating systems. It started in 1995 as a part of the add-on package Plus! for Windows 95. It was replaced by Microsoft Edge in year 2015 as part of the Windows 10 release. source
Last, Safari. It is a web browser developed by Apple. It was released in 2003. It is the default browser on Apple devices. A Windows version was available on 2007, however was discontinued on 2012. Source
